ResNet: CIU's Public Internet Access
Students, alumni, and guests may connect their personal computers, tablets, and smartphones to CIU's high speed internet access network called ResNet. Wireless internet is available in every building on campus. Residence halls also have wired outlets in the rooms for physical connections if necessary.
How to connect
- In the residence halls, simply connect your computer to one of the wired outlets in your room using an Ethernet cable.
- For wireless access, look for and connect to the CIUWifi wireless network. For dorm residents located outside of the main hallway, an individual wireless access point is available for semester long checkout at RAM Tech, located in the Library.
Your computer must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Windows XP or later, or Mac OS X 10.3 or later
- At least 10mpbs Wired Ethernet, or 802.11b or g Wireless card
