Configuration Checklist for CRM Candidates and Prospects

To use the CRM Candidates and Prospects portlets, you must place the portlets on your website and perform some basic procedures in EX and JICS. If you are installing CRM Candidates and Prospects for the first time, Jenzabar recommends that you review all documentation regarding the installation of JICS and CRM Candidates and Prospects.

The following checklist provides a quick overview of what is required for a user to access and start working with this CRM.

Verify or create EX ID numbers (Name Entity and Users windows in EX) for users who need to access CRM Candidates and Prospects.

Verify or configure JICS Base and JICS CAND to Y (Maintain Config Table window in EX).

Verify or create appropriate CRM Candidates and Prospects roles to which users can be assigned (Role Definition window in EX).

Assign users to the CRM Candidates and Prospects role (manually through the Role Membership window in EX or automatically during the Stage Change process, depending on the stage configuration).

Grant JICS roles access to the Candidates and Prospects page to allow users assigned to those roles access to the CRM.

Verify or create a JICS login and password for each Candidate (manually through the Maintain Web Access Code window in EX or automatically via a candidacy stage change to a stage that is configured to create a new JICS login).

Verify or configure the display of names (Salutation Definition window in EX).

Set configurations for the New Account Messaging portlet. Ensure that each EX user who needs to receive an email notification that a submission has been received has an email address for notifications (Name Entity window in EX).

Place the portlets on a page, and configure each portlet by entering the appropriate setup values in EX and in the required portlets in CRM Candidates and Prospects.

Grant JICS roles global access to portlets that appear on the Candidates and Prospects page and may also appear on other JICS pages.
