The Bureau of Protective Services is seeking candidates for a full-time BPS Non-Certified Law Enforcement Officer position in Columbia, South Carolina.

Key responsibilities include:

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect violations
• Maintain order and enforce state statutes and regulations
• Exercise arrest powers and testify in court
• Investigate disturbances
• Complete reports and official documents
• Maintain security of state properties and facilities
• Assist with security and order at the Legislature Chambers, Governor’s Mansion, State Capitol Complex, and other state buildings
• Provide protective services for state officials and their families
