Project My GPA for the Current Term
1. From the My GPA Projection portlet, select the Division in the drop-down list box and click the Go button.
2. The Current Term Projection tab is displayed. Career GPA, Career Credits, and a current Course List are displayed.
3. In the Course List section, select the Include check box for each course you want to be included in the grade projection.
4. In the Projected Grade drop-down list box, choose the grade you want to use for each course to be included in the grade projection.
5. Click the Create Projection button to generate the projected GPA.
6. Based on the student's past course history and the projection options entered, the Projected Results section displays Earned Credits, GPA Credits, GPA for Selected Courses, and Career GPA.
7. You can change the Projected Grade and click the Create Projection button to generate data based on the criteria entered.
8. Click the Reset button to clear the Course List selections.
1. From the My GPA Projection portlet, select the Division in the drop-down list box and click the Go button.
2. Click the GPA Calculator tab.
3. Select one of the following options:
o Use your actual Career GPA/Credits
o Use the results from the Projection Tab
4. Enter numbers into two of the three boxes:
o Additional Credits
o Average GPA for the Additional Credits
o Resultant GPA
5. Click the Calculate button to determine the remaining box's value. For more accurate results, enter values into the GPA boxes with 4 decimal places. The resulting values may not be realistic depending upon the values you entered.

Your current GPA is 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. You project for 30 additional credits and want to see if you could achieve a resultant GPA of 4.0. Calculating this value results in a GPA of over 4.0; however, as 4.0 is the maximum GPA, the portlet will only report that you need a 4.0 to achieve the desired results. |
6. The Calculated Results section displays the resulting GPA based on either your actual or projected GPA/Credits and the values you entered.
7. Click the Reset button to clear the values entered in the criteria boxes so that you can calculate other scenarios.
View a Student's GPA Projection
1. From the View My Students portlet, click the appropriate student name link.
2. On the student's screen, click the GPA Projection link.
3. On the GPA Projection screen, select the Division.
4. Use the Current Term Projection tab to enter a grade for each course and then click the Create Projection button to calculate the Career GPA.
o Click the Reset button to enter a different Projected Grade.
5. Use the GPA Calculator tab to calculate either Additional Credit, Average GPA for the Additional Credits, or Resultant GPA. Enter a value for two of the variables and click the Calculate button to get the value of the third variable.
o You may use actual Career GPA/Credits or Current Term Projection results as starting values.
o Click the Reset button to clear the values and enter new values.
