No setup is required in EX to support the My 1098-T portlet. However, you must run the Generate 1098-T's process to populate the Student Year Reporting Table in order for students and parents to view 1098-T information.
1. Open the Generate 1098-T's window.
2. See the "Generating 1098-Ts" online help topic for information on populating the Student Year Reporting Table.
Configuration settings in JICS can be done by roles with permission to access and administer global and portlet settings.

1. Log in as the JICS administrator.
2. From the My 1098-T portlet, click the Setup menu option.
3. In the Please enter the default 1098-T year drop-down list, choose the latest year for which 1098-T data will be available to students.
4. In the Please enter the previous number of years you want the student to be able to view their 1098-T data drop-down list, choose the number of years prior to the default 1098-T year (see #3) for which 1098-T data will be available to the students.
5. Select the Should users be able to view their 1098-T Information online? check box if students will be allowed to view their 1098-T information online.
· If you select this check box, a link to their 1098-T data will be displayed.
· If you do not select this check box, a configurable message will be displayed (see #6).
6. In the No View Message text box, enter the message text that will be displayed if users are not allowed to view their 1098-T information (the Should users be able to view their 1098-T Information online? check box is not selected).
7. Click the Save button.
