Configuration Checklist for CRM Students

To use the CRM Students portlets, you must place the portlets on your website and perform some basic procedures in EX and JICS. If you are installing CRM Students for the first time, Jenzabar recommends that you review all documentation regarding the installation of JICS and CRM Students.

The following checklist provides a quick overview of what is required for a user to access and start working with this CRM.

Verify or create an EX ID number (Name Entity and Users windows in EX) for users who need to access CRM Candidate.

Enable JICS Base and CRM Students (Maintain Config Table window in EX).

Verify or create appropriate CRM Students roles to which users can be assigned (Role Definition window in EX).

Assign users to the CRM Students role (Role Membership window in EX).

Grant JICS roles access to the Students page to allow users assigned to those roles access to the CRM.

Verify or create a JICS login and password for each student (Maintain Web Access Code window in EX).

Verify or configure the display of names (Salutation Definition window in EX).

Set configurations for the New Account Messaging portlet. Ensure that each EX user who needs to receive an email notification that a submission has been received has an email address for notifications (Name Entity window in EX).

Place the portlets on a page, and configure each portlet by entering the appropriate setup values in EX and in the required portlets in CRM Students.

Grant JICS roles global access to portlets that appear on the Students page and may also appear on other JICS pages.

Configure the display of course titles in CRM Students (Registration Configuration window).

Configure the display of cross-listed courses in CRM Students (Registration Configuration window).
